Terms of Use
Plain English, because you should be able to read this. Use the product for your own renovation planning. Our prices and measurements are estimates, not a contractor's quote, and you need to verify them on site before anyone starts cutting. We are early, so things will break.
The agreement
By using Homeslice AI you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. Our Privacy Policy is part of this agreement.
Your account
Access to the private beta is by invitation. Sign-in is by emailed link rather than a password, so anyone who can read your email can get into your account. Keep your inbox secure, and tell us at hello@homeslice.ai if you think someone else has access. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Estimates are estimates
This is the most important section here, so it is not buried in capital letters at the bottom.
- Nothing Homeslice AI produces is a quote or a bid. No contractor has priced your room, and no retailer has committed to a price for you.
- Measurements come from a scan or from what you drew, and they carry real uncertainty. Where we are unsure, we say so on screen. Verify dimensions on site before ordering materials or starting work.
- Product prices are collected from retailers and go stale. Confirm the current price with the seller before you buy.
- Labor figures are typical regional ranges, gathered as reference data. They are not an offer from anyone to do your job at that price.
- We are not architects, engineers, contractors, or your local building department. Homeslice AI does not tell you what is code-compliant or structurally safe. Permits, inspections, and professional advice remain yours to obtain.
Decisions about your money and your home are yours. Please make them with a professional who has stood in the room.
AI features
The AI helps you change your design and answer questions about it. Like all such systems it can be confidently wrong. Check its work, especially anything that turns into a purchase or a build instruction.
Your content
Your scans, floorplans, and designs remain yours. You give us the permission we need to operate the service for you: to store your work, process it, show it to people you share it with, and improve the product. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for what you choose to share.
Our content
The software, design, and branding are ours. Product names, images, and specifications belong to their respective manufacturers and retailers, and appear here to identify real products. Do not scrape the service, resell it, or try to break its security.
Beta software
Homeslice AI is provided as is, without warranties. It is unfinished by definition: features will change, and bugs will happen. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the past twelve months.
That is the legal boilerplate. The practical version: do not treat this as your only record of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Payment
The private beta is free. Some features are unlocked by a paid credit pack. Anything you buy is described at the point of purchase, including what it unlocks. If we charge you for something that then failed, write to us and we will make it right.
Ending it
You can stop using Homeslice AI whenever you like, and you can delete your account from within the app. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or break these terms. If we ever shut the service down, we will give you notice and a way to get your work out.
Changes
We will update these terms as the product grows. The date above changes when they do, and we will email you about anything significant.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
