Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect your email address so we can let you into the beta, and we store the rooms you scan or draw so you can come back to them. We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising trackers. If you want everything deleted, we delete it.
Who we are
Homeslice AI is an early-stage product operated from the United States. For anything in this policy, including a request to see or delete your data, write to hello@homeslice.ai.
What we collect
Your email address. You give it to us when you ask for early access or sign in. We use it to send you a sign-in link, to tell you when your invite is ready, and to reach you about the product. Sign-in has no password, so the address is the account.
The optional note on the signup form. If you write one, a human on our side reads it. It is not used for anything else.
Your projects. Room scans from the iPhone app, floorplans you upload, rooms you draw, and every product choice you make on top of them. This is the work product, so we keep it until you delete it or delete your account.
What you ask the AI. When you use "Ask Homeslice AI", your request and the relevant state of your room go to our AI provider so it can answer.
Pseudonymous usage analytics. Which features get used, and where people get stuck. These records are keyed to an account or device identifier rather than to your name or email, and they deliberately exclude your email, your display name, your room geometry, and your AI prompts.
Ordinary server logs, kept for security and debugging.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking pixels.
- We do not use your room scans to train a general-purpose AI model of our own.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers, and only for the job named:
- Resend sends our email (sign-in links, invites, notifications).
- Anthropic powers the AI features. Your request and room context go there when you ask the AI to do something.
- PostHog receives the pseudonymous usage analytics described above.
- DigitalOcean hosts the servers that run the product.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our users.
Sharing you choose
If you share a project or invite a collaborator, the people you invite can see that project. That is the feature working as intended, and it is under your control. A collaborator's contributions live inside the project, so deleting a project you own deletes their work in it too.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from the app, and you can always ask us at hello@homeslice.ai. Deletion is immediate rather than queued behind a waiting period. We delete the projects you own and their derived assets.
Being honest about what survives, because "delete" should not be a word that hides things:
- A record that the account was deleted, so we do not resurrect it.
- Pseudonymous usage rows that are no longer connected to you.
- Comments you left in other people's projects, with your name removed.
- Records of any purchase, which we have to keep for financial and refund purposes.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Sign-in links are single-use and expire. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise, but we are not casual about it.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@homeslice.ai and we will answer. We will not charge you for asking, and we will not treat you worse for asking.
Children
Homeslice AI is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
This is a beta and the product is moving. If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for anything significant, email the address on your account.
